Adding a Course

Adding a course is defined as adding an additional course after the student’s initial registration for classes is completed. These guidelines must be followed for adding a course:
  1. A student may add an open course during the first five (5) business days of a session (Fall, Spring, or Summer).
  2. No courses may be added after this time without the express permission of the appropriate Academic Dean or designee and course/clinical instructor.
  3. Adding a course will require the student to contact their advisor and complete an electronic Docusign Form documenting the request.  This form will be considered the official request to add the course.
Dropping a Course
Dropping a course is defined as removing a course from a student’s schedule after the initial registration period. These guidelines must be followed with regard to dropping a course:
  1. Any course may be dropped from the schedule through the first five (5) business days of a session (Fall, Spring, or Summer) without the instructor’s permission and with no grade or other designation noted on the student’s transcript.
  2. Dropping a course will require an email sent from the student’s advisor on behalf of the student. This email will be considered the official request to drop the course.
  3. Beginning on the seventh (6th) business day of a session (Fall, Spring, or Summer), the course withdrawal policy will apply.
