American Prep will accept credits and grades awarded to a student from another accredited institution.

Credit Recovery

Students needing credit recovery may utilize course grade forgiveness (State Code R277-717-3), or may utilize credit recovery options either within APA or through other accredited institutions. American Prep will accept a total of 6 approved credit recovery packets toward graduation.

Guidelines for Early Graduates

American Prep allows interested students the option to graduate early. In order for students to utilize this option, all graduation requirements must be met prior to graduation, including the successful completion of the required courses and earning 28 credits if they are to receive an APA diploma. Working with a counselor, a College and Career Readiness (CCR) plan must be completed that indicates the student's intention to graduate early. The CCR stating this intention should be developed as early as possible, preferably at the beginning of the ninth-grade school year.
